Since 2005 UENO GOURMET is a leading supplier of premium sake in Europe, with companies in Germany, United Kingdom and Switzerland. All our products are high quality premium sake brewed under strict quality control. We buy directly from the producers and import under best conditions. Most of our imports are directly supplied to top chefs and some of the best sommeliers in Europe. Out of approx. 1300 family owned breweries, we personally selected 30 of the most renowned with a distinguished company philosophy as suppliers.
We also import a fine selection of high class soy sauces and seasonings. All products are produced in a traditional way without additives. With temperature controlled imports we ensure highest quality standards.

„Sake-Samurai“ and „Master of Sake“ – the Tokyo born Yoshiko Ueno-Müller feels herself obligated to the harmony of the European and Japanese fine dining experience. She lives in Germany since 1989 and here, 9000 kilometres away from home, she discovered her passion for premium sake. Yoshiko Ueno-Müller is the first female, as well as first non-Japan resident to pass the difficult exam as „Master of Sake“. Further she is Sake Expert Assessor (NRIB) and a certified sommelière (IHK). With enthusiasm, she engages herself as a member of Slow Food as well as of the Sommelier Union Germany. For her effort und success, she was announced SAKE SAMURAI in October 2011, an ambassador of sake culture and received the special recognition of the Japanese foreign minister in 2015.
A sign of appreciation for her passionate mediation of Japanese culture was awarded to her book „SAKE – Elixier der japanischen Seele“ (Sake – Elixir of the Japanese soul) with a gold medal of the German Gastronomic Academy and the “Gourmand World Cook Book Award” and "Best in the World Award" from GOURMAND INTERNATIONAL.
Jörg Müller was born in Lübeck. Since spending several months in Japan during his university education he is passionate for Japanese food and drink. Now his mission became to spread the knowledge and availability of Japanese gourmet culture. Already a wine lover, he immediately educated himself further on the subject and is now wine consultant and sake sommelier. As such he is ready to share his expertise with everyone and help understand what premium sake is all about. He is a member of Slow Food and the Sommelier Union Germany. And he successfully passed the Sake & Shochu Academy in Japan.
