Ikekame Turtle Red

Turtle Red is a classic Junmai Daiginjo with a twist: it's brewed with black koji which produces a higher amount of acidity which, in this case, provides great freshness and focus to balance out the incredible aromatic intensity and textural depth of this sake. Boasting notes of luscious green apple, peach, pear, exotic shades of gooseberry, lemon, and citrus blossom, all rounded out by elegant notes of vanilla and jasmine, this Sake offers something for everyone. A must try for beginners and experts, Turtle Red can either be paired with grilled meats or sashimi or enjoyed on its own.

Founded 1875 by a master of sword martial art, with the ambition to brew Sake from the local water. Located at Chikugo river in Fukuoka. The name Ikekame means turtle in the pond. The turtle is a symbol for luck and long life.

Classification of Premium Sake
