Founded in 1902 in Iwate Prefecture, NANBU BIJIN – meaning “Beauty of the Nanbu Region” – embodies the brewery’s philosophy of crafting sake that reflects the purity and elegance of its mountainous surroundings.

Deeply rooted in the traditions of the Nanbu brewing school, the fifth-generation brewmaster blended scientific expertise from Tokyo with innovative techniques to redefine their craft.

This bold approach paid off when NANBU BIJIN’s “Southern Beauty” was awarded Champion Sake at the International Wine Challenge (IWC) 2017.
